With the launch vehicle Ariane 6, a European Space Agency (ESA) program, Arianespace will be able to address the changing needs of its customers for launch services across a wide variety of institutional and commercial missions with unprecedented levels of efficiency and flexibility. Along with improved flexibility to launch a variety of missions with the same high reliability shown throughout the Ariane program, Ariane 6 will bring higher payload performance.Two variants of the next-generation launch vehicle will be produced: Ariane 64, which will mainly cater to the commercial market, and Ariane 62, which is ideal for institutional missions.
