Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) manages the active expendable launch system H-IIA (H-2A) on behalf of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. The Emirates Mars Mission, which was sent to Mars in July 2020, Akatsuki, which investigated the planet Venus, lunar orbiting spacecraft, and satellites into geostationary orbit have all been launched using these liquid fuel rockets. At the Tanegashima Space Center, launches take place. 2001 saw the H-IIA's maiden flight. H-IIA rockets were launched 48 times as of February 2024, including 42 successful launches in a row starting on November 29, 2003.
