Together with the Starship second-stage, Super Heavy is the first stage of the SpaceX Starship super heavy-lift launch vehicle. Prototypes of Super Heavy aircraft are being tested in flight as of 2024. On April 20, 2023, Super Heavy made his first flight during the Starship rocket's first orbital launch attempt. The vehicle is made up of the approximately 165-foot (50-meter)-tall Starship upper stage and the Super Heavy first-stage booster. These two components are made to be quickly and completely reusable.
