Argotec's Innovative and Sustainable Solutions Extend their Horizons to Space

Satellites are the turnkey focus in the future. The HAWK platform is their premium CubeSat: a reliable, technologically advanced solution to carry payloads into orbit and meet the needs of even the most demanding customers. The HAWK can be personalized on the basis of mass, volume, and individual mission objectives: a totally scalable and modular solution, from 6U to 27U in volume.

Argotec has clocked-up thousands of flight hours aboard the ISS (International Space Station), carrying payloads that combine advanced technology with attention to all the needs and requirements of space travelers. They believe that even an astronaut has the right to “travel in comfort“. They also organize training, as in the case of a number of astronauts from the European Space Agency (ESA). Their certified instructors train the astronauts at the European Astronaut Center (EAC) in Cologne and also instruct the ground staff (so-called flight controllers) in voice protocol, ISS operations, control centers on Earth, and flight rules.


Hawke Platform: The combination of reliability and radiation hardness allows the Hawk platform to deal with the harsh space environment.

Fermi: The FERMI on-board computer is a rad-hard avionics unit for deep space and mission-critical applications, featuring a dual-core CPU, an FPGA chipset, and embedded mass memory.

Hack: Argotec HACK OBC offers unprecedented flexibility thanks to its design, developed from scratch to be modular and easily reconfigurable.

Volta 128l: Argotec VOLTA 128I is an all-in-one PCDU developed to cover a wide variety of applications targeting the micro-satellite platform. 

Heat Pipes: Argotec's R&D unit carries out constant research on highly innovative thermal control solutions for space and terrestrial applications. In this sense, Argotec has built over the years a deep experience in the design, integration, and testing of two-phase fluidic systems for heat management, such as heat pipes, loop heat pipes, pulsating heat pipes. 

EBC: Argotec EBC&HC is a rad-hard subsystem designed to manage micro-satellite batteries during long cruise phases.
