The E250 from Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is an Attach and Release Mechanism with a maximum release load of 1112 N. It has a proof load rating of 1557 N and a maximum torque of 92 in-oz. This release mechanism has a coupler kick-off force of 1.5 lbF and a misalignment capability of +/- 5 degrees (engagement and deployment). It requires an operating current of 0.75-2.5 mA and has a resistance of 3.3 Ohm. The mechanism has a function time of 100 ms (1.25 A) and a minimum cycle life of 50.
