The Battery Module by Dragonfly Aerospace is a space-qualified Lithium-ion battery designed for a 5-year lifespan in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). It features a nominal voltage of 29.7 V and a capacity of 270 Wh. The battery supports continuous discharge at 20 A and 600 W, with peak discharge capabilities of 40 A and 1200 W. It includes advanced state-of-charge (SoC) monitoring, cell balancing, and a transport hibernation mode. ITAR-free, the battery is TID screened for radiation levels above 20 kRad and includes built-in over and under voltage protection. With a 9s4p configuration, it provides fault isolation per string and health telemetry, offering a modular and scalable energy storage solution. This flight-proven Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery weighs 4.73 kg and has dimensions of 350 x 108 x 110 mm (L x W x H).
