The FN-D-KXL1-24224 from ETL Systems is a Block Downconverter that converts an input frequency of 17.3–21.2 GHz to an output frequency of 950-1950 MHz. This frequency converter module has a maximum conversion gain of 35 ± 1.5 dB with a gain step size of 0.25 ± 0.15 dB.  It has an input/output return loss of -14 dB and a maximum noise figure of 12 dB. The converter has a phase noise of -60 to -105 dBc/Hz and an image rejection of greater than 60 dB. It requires an AC input supply of 85-264 V and has a power consumption of 150 W. The Ka-band to L-band block downconverter features hot swap and replaceable RF frequency converter modules and supports remote control and monitoring via RJ45 Ethernet port with SNMP and web browser interface. It has field replaceable redundant configuration and local control and monitoring via HMI touchscreen. The converter weighs less than 10 Kg and measures 1U x 550 mm x 19 inch (height x depth x width). Its typical applications include teleports and Earth stations, satellite operations, government and defense applications, telemetry, tracking and command, and high resilience applications.
