The VHCD-Ka7 / VSCD-Ka7 from WORK Microwave is a Block Downconverter that has an input RF frequency range of 25.5-27.5 GHz and an intermediate frequency of 2440/2450 MHz. This Ka-band downconverter has a frequency resolution of 100 Hz and a phase noise of up to -104 dBc/Hz (1 MHz). It has an impedance of 50 Ohms and an input/output return loss of 20 dB. The block downconverter has an operational input level of -45 dBm and a 1 dB compression point of 10-13 dBm. It has an image rejection of 80 dB and a noise figure of 12 dB. The downconverter requires an input supply of 100-240 V AC and has a power consumption of 35 W. It supports remote control through RS232, RS422/485 (2-wire or 4-wire) interfaces, Ethernet supporting a TCP/IP command interface, a Web browser interface, and SNMP. 

The converter features automatic reference recognition (5 and 10 MHz) and an adjustable gain equalizer. It weighs 8.4 Kg (Indoor) and measures 483 x 44 x 505 mm ( Indoor). The converter is designed to support the demanding requirements of analog and digital satellite transmissions, such as TV uplinks and high-speed data networks, and is ideal for fixed satellite ground stations as well as in satellite newsgathering (SNG) vehicles, fly-aways, and other mobile or portable applications.
