The NASA Space Level BME X7R MLCC from Kyocera AVX are Space Qualified Capacitors with a capacitance range of 2.2nF - 8.2µF. These ceramic capacitors have a capacitance tolerance of +/-5%, +/-10%, and +/-20% and a rated voltage range of 16-100 V. They are tested using Mil-spec standards and methods including 100% ultrasonic examination in compliance with the NASA S311-P838 space specifications. These surface-mount capacitors incorporate Flexiterm technology for enhanced mechanical stress resistance and feature Sn/Pb plated terminations. They are available in case sizes of 0603 – 1812 and are ideal for space applications.
