The RHR801 from STMicroelectronics is a Radiation Hardened High Speed Comparator that is designed to allow high rise and fall times while drawing a high noise supply rejection. This comparator has a propagation time of 7 ns and a rise/fall time of 1.1 ns on 10 pF. It has a maximum input frequency range of 50-74 MHz and a low consumption of 1.4 mA. The comparator requires a supply voltage of 3-5 V and an input bias current of -7 to -2.2 µA. It uses a high-speed complementary BiCMOS process to achieve high radiation tolerance TID of up to 100 Krad and an SEL immunity of up to 120 MeV.cm²/mg. The comparator is suitable for applications such as high-speed timing, high-speed sampling, clock recovery, clock distribution, and phase detectors.
