The OLS449 from Skyworks is a Space Qualified Optocoupler with a forward voltage range of 1.1-1.9 V. It has an average input current of 40 mA and a peak forward current of 1 A. This surface-mount optocoupler has a reverse voltage of 2 V and a power dissipation of 70 mW. The output detector of the optocoupler has a collector-to-emitter voltage of 65 V and an emitter-to-base voltage of 7 V. It has a continuous collector current of 50 mA and a saturation voltage of 0.3 V. This radiation-tolerant optocoupler has a 1000 VDC electrical isolation and, a higher CTR and better CTR degradation characteristics due to radiation exposure. This phototransistor hermetic optocoupler consists of an LED and N-P-N silicon phototransistor that is electrically isolated, but optically coupled inside a hermetic six-pin Leadless Chip Carrier (LCC) package. It is designed for high reliability and space applications that require optical isolation in radiation environments such as gamma, neutron, and proton radiation with a high CTR and low saturation VCE.
