The PPU-500 from Space Electric Thruster Systems (SETS) is a Power Processing Unit for Thruster that transforms onboard voltage from 200-500 W to power hall thruster. This PPU requires a power supply of 50-90 W for one or two cathodes and has an efficiency of up to 90%. It has seven channels to control valves and six channels for pressure sensors. The PPU features a microcontroller-based system ARM core and an input overcurrent shutdown. It supports CAN or RS-485 interface for communication and requires an input voltage in the range of 22-36 V. The PPU-500 has a mass of 4.3 kg and measures 321 x 255 x 94 mm. It is suitable for missions from government-class spacecraft to commercial satellite constellations.
