The E-LynX SAT from Elbit Systems is a Tactical Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Software Defined Radio engineered for on-the-move and on-the-walk operations across land, air and maritime platforms. Designed to deliver secure beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) connectivity, the system supports voice, data and video communications over Ka-band and Ku-band using GEO, MEO and LEO satellite networks.
The E-LynX SAT integrates electronically steered phased-array antennas with automatic satellite tracking, enabling rapid link acquisition and continuous connectivity in dynamic operational environments. It supports Ka-band transmit frequencies of 27.5–30.0 GHz with receive frequencies of 17.7–20.2 GHz, as well as Ku-band transmit frequencies of 13.75–14.5 GHz and receive frequencies of 10.7–12.2 GHz. Configurable polarization and flexible waveform support allow adaptation to diverse satellite services and mission requirements.
This software-defined radio SATCOM system delivers data rates from 10 kbps up to 800 kbps and provides up to 1 W (30 dBm) of transmit power. It incorporates Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum modulation to enable Low Probability of Detection (LPD) and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI), enhancing communications security in contested environments. The antenna system provides full 360° azimuth coverage with an elevation range of 30° to 90°, ensuring robust satellite visibility during movement.
