The DROP-04X from 2NDSPACE is a high-efficiency deployable solar panel system engineered for CubeSat and nanosatellite missions requiring robust and scalable power generation solutions. It features two deployable elements equipped with advanced Ultra-Triple-Junction (UTJ) solar cells that offer more than 30% efficiency delivering a total available power output of up to 40 W. It operates with a peak power voltage of 19.94 V and has an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 20.8 V. The solar panel has a peak current range of 1-1.5 A with minimal protection loss below 0.3 W for optimal power delivery efficiency. It features a zero-residual dipole design and a stabilized thermal dissipation architecture for improved spacecraft stability and thermal control. The solar panel is qualified under NASA GEVS (GSFC-STD-7000A) and ESA ECSS-E-ST-10-03C standards that has undergone rigorous vibration, mechanical shock and thermal vacuum testing. It is an ideal power generation solution for CubeSat missions operating in both LEO and GEO environments.
