The 53814 from Modular Devices is a Space Qualified Solid-State Relay with a bias voltage range of 4.7-5.3 V and a bias current of 30-50 mA. It is a single pole single throw relay, normally open when de-energized. The relay has a contact voltage rating of 300 V and a contact current rating of 3 A. It requires a maximum operating pin current of 5 mA and has a power dissipation of 2 W. The relay has a delay time of 12-30 µS (energized) and 20-40 µS (de-energized). It has a dynamic energize time of 12-30 µS and a dynamic de-energize time of 5-20 µS. The solid-state relay has a radiation tolerance TID of 100 kRads (S and SE Grades) and a SEE LET of less than 82 Mevcm2/mg. It incorporates Wide band gap (WBG) semiconductors, such as GaN (Gallium Nitride) and SiC (Silicon Carbide) for high performance and is magnetically coupled and can be user-configured for continuous or pulse latching. The relay comes in a rugged hermetic package and has a mass of 18 g.
