The 53821 from Modular Devices is a Space Qualified Solid State Relay with a bias voltage range of 4.7-5.3 V and a bias current of 30-50 mA. The relay has a contact voltage rating of 300 V and a contact current rating of 15 A. It has a contact resistance of up to 0.08-0.2 Ohms and has a steady state power dissipation of 20 W. The relay has a delay time of 5-15 µS (energized) and 10-20 µS (de-energized). It has a radiation tolerance TID of 100 kRads (S and SE Grades) and a SEE LET of less than 82 Mevcm2/mg. This space-qualified relay incorporates a Wide band gap (WBG) semiconductors such as GaN (Gallium Nitride) and SiC (Silicon Carbide) for high performance and is magnetically coupled and can be user-configured for continuous or pulse latching. It has a mass of 50 g and has a rugged hermetically sealed case which can withstand severe environments.
