µXBT Image

The μXBT from Space Micro is an X-band Satellite Transponder that is designed for LEO, MEO, and GEO orbits. It has a frequency of 8.3-8.5 GHz, a downlink data rate of up to 6 Mbps, and a channel bandwidth of up to 10 MHz. This radiation-hardened transponder consists of a Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that has a power consumption of 12 W and supports BPSK and QPSK, with OQPSK and 8PSK modulation techniques. It can be controlled via RS-422 data interface for uplink, downlink, control, and bus commands, and is AES-256 FIPS 140-2 encrypted. This CCSDS DSN-compliant transponder measures 153 x 127 x 116 mm and is ideal for applications such as telemetry, tracking & command transponders, mission data transmitter, ranging, and satellite constellations & lunar missions.
