The RECON 98CM from Comtech Mission-Critical Technologies is a VSAT Terminal with a transmit frequency range of 7.90-31GHz and a receive range of 7.25-21.2 GHz. This VSAT has a mid-band transmit gain of up to 47.3 dBi (Ka-band) and a receive gain of 44.1 (Ka-band). It has a G/T ratio of up to 20.7 dB/ degree K and an EIRP of 63.3 dBw (Ka-band). The VSAT features a lightweight manual antenna with an integral base and folding tripod and is fully cybersecurity compliant. It uses a carbon fiber/aluminum reflector with an azimuth travel of +/- 95 degrees and an elevation range of 5-95 degrees. The RECON 98CM has a set-up time of less than 5 minutes and an assembled weight of 20.4 kg. It supports operations with legacy satcom systems and DoD enterprise satcom gateways.
