The IRS-P2 Satellite was launched by ISRO on 15 October 1994 from SHAR Centre, Sriharikota, India. This mission was carried out in PSLV-D2 launch vehicle and had a mission life of up to 3 years. This satellite has a mass of 804 Kg and was intended to use for remote sensing applications. IRS-P2 was designed to provide remote sensing services for various applications, including agriculture, forestry, land-use mapping, urban planning, water resources management, and disaster management. The satellite aimed to deliver high-quality imagery and data to support resource management and environmental monitoring efforts in India and surrounding regions.
