Disturbance Reduction System - NASA Satellite

The Space Technology 7 (ST-7) Disturbance Reduction System (DRS) was an experiment in NASAs New Millennium Program, which tested high-risk technologies and concepts in space. DRS flew aboard the European Space Agencys LISA Pathfinder spacecraft, which tested the technology for the future LISA mission - the ESA/NASA Laser Interferometry Satellite Antenna gravitational wave observatory. The Lisa Pathfinder spacecraft orbited Earth-Sun Lagrange Point 1 (L1), a point located about 930,000 miles from Earth in the direction of the Sun, on January 22, 2016.
