ADCS:Overview of ADCS Simulation and Operation

Depending on the mission, the performance of the Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem (ADCS) varies, ranging from coarse stabilization to precision pointing of a landmark of interest. Controlling a spacecraft is a dedicated process involving various components of the spacecraft and its software. This requires a delicate and precise coordination between the spacecraft’s components. At Gomspace therefore, several standard ADCS configurations have been setup to ease the selection of components to your mission needs. The purpose of this white paper is to present in brief our ADCS capabilities for our standard ADCS configurations of CubeSat sizes of 3U and 6U. It should be noted that the results presented here are approximate values and can deviate depending on the design of the spacecraft and is given as the expected performance.
