Cluster II

Cluster II - ESA Satellite

Cluster II, commonly referred to as the Cluster mission, is a constellation of four spacecraft developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) to study the Earth's magnetosphere in three dimensions. The primary objective of the Cluster mission is to study the small-scale structure and dynamics of the Earth's magnetosphere and its interaction with the solar wind. By using four identical spacecraft flying in formation, Cluster provides a detailed 3D map of these processes.
