Oceansat-2 Satellite was launched by ISRO on Sept. 23, 2009 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, India. The mission was carried out in PSLV-C14 launch vehicle and has a mass of 960 Kg. The primary objective of Oceansat-2 is to provide continuity of oceanographic services to monitor ocean color, sea surface temperature, and wind vector data. It is designed to support applications in fisheries, coastal zone management, and weather forecasting. Oceansat-2 has successfully provided continuous oceanographic data since its launch, significantly contributing to various applications, including fisheries, coastal management, and climate studies.
