The OneWeb India-2 mission refers to a launch carried out by OneWeb, a global communications company that is building a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites to provide internet connectivity worldwide. This mission involves the deployment of a batch of OneWeb satellites into orbit, and it is the second such launch conducted from India. The launch took place on March 26, 2023, using an Indian launch vehicle, specifically the GSLV-Mk III (also known as LVM3) operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The primary objective of the OneWeb India-2 mission was to deploy 36 OneWeb satellites into LEO. This deployment is part of OneWeb's effort to complete its constellation, which aims to provide high-speed internet access globally, including remote and underserved areas.
