Neuraspace Expands Office in Luxembourg and Partners with Luxembourg Space Agency

Neuraspace, expanding its European operations, is opening a new office in Luxembourg, bringing together commercial operations, engineering teams, and production. The aim is to facilitate further partnerships and collaborations with local space industry players, the Luxembourg Space Agency and Luxembourg’s national innovation agency “Luxinnovation”. In addition to some operational and commercial roles, Neuraspace plans to hire engineering staff, especially with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

Responsible for the development of the office are Neuraspace’s two directors, managing director and CEO, Chiara Manfletti, and commercial director, Thomas Eggenweiler. It’s an addition to Neuraspace’s existing Portuguese offices in Coimbra and Lisbon and its German office in Munich.

Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace, said: “Opening this new office shows our drive for continued expansion and being part of the European space community. It will allow us to become part of the thriving ecosystem in the region and further our innovative efforts in space sustainability and AI, and our ongoing investments and commitment in defence, space sustainability and AI.”

“Luxembourg has made great strides to strengthening its cooperation in the exploration and use of space resources and its ambition to promote innovation, which aligns with our own goals. Luxembourg is also the European country which invests the most, both in relation to GDP and total government spending, in space exploration efforts and third globally. That’s a fantastic and very promising environment for Neuraspace to be in.”

Marc Serres, CEO Luxembourg Space Agency, said: “Neuraspace develops innovative technology and ambitions to reshape industries, foster a responsible approach to space activities, and impact on business and society. We are thrilled to see them join Luxembourg’s space ecosystem and are looking forward to their future projects.”

Neuraspace is transforming space domain awareness with its space traffic management (STM) platform, safeguarding the 400 satellites of its customers, and use of existing technologies such as AI and machine learning. The company is also developing new algorithms, growing its tracking and monitoring capabilities, and as a result creating new services for commercial space actors, the defence and public sector alike. The greater aim is to develop more autonomous software procedures based on AI and ML to reduce cost, manual hours spent and help with the decision-making process.

To fully unlock the potential of the space economy, we need more autonomous spacecraft, which will require decision making intelligence on board for collision avoidance analysis and manoeuvring,” Manfletti said. The first step of this new collaboration with the Luxembourg Space Agency and Luxinnovation is the joint attendance of the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, USA (9-11 April 2025), with defence meetings on the agenda.

In view of Luxembourg’s first participation with a national Pavilion at the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, Luxinnovation, with the support of the Luxembourg Directorate of Defence, and in cooperation with the Directorate for Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion and the Chamber of Commerce, is setting up a dedicated 'defence programme' for the visiting Luxembourg Industry Delegation to meet with US Defence and NATO partners.
