Quectel Introduces New Antennas for Small Cell Deployments

Quectel Wireless Solutions, an end-to-end global IoT solutions provider, has launched three new small cell antennas, the YEMG493KPAM, YEMG298WBAM and YEMJ294JPAM. The new antennas provide versatile options for organisations that need small cell coverage that combines multiple connectivity technologies in a single antenna.

“It’s great to further expand our comprehensive range of antennas with these new antennas, which add choice and versatility to small cell deployments,” said David Wei, Antenna Product Head, Quectel Wireless Solutions. “Small cell deployments are becoming increasingly popular to support a wide variety of diverse connectivity demands across a wide range of use cases. We’re excited to add these three new small cell antenna solutions to the Quectel portfolio.”

The YEMG493KPAM 5G 4-in-1 wall and pole mount external antenna operates in the 3300-4200MHz frequency band, which makes it well-suited for 5G New Radio and other cellular applications. The YEMG493KPAM is a high-performance 4 x 4 MIMO panel antenna that has been engineered for robust and reliable wireless connectivity. It has been designed to deliver superior electrical performance and features an average gain of 12dBi and isolation of 22dB across its ports to ensure high-quality signal and reception.

With dimensions of 210mm x 210mm x 48mm and weight of just 1kg, the antenna is both RoHS and REACH compliant. Constructed from ASA+PC material, the antenna is IP65 rated, ensuring complete protection against dust and low-pressure water jets. The YEMG493KPAM is capable of withstanding wind loads of up to 216kmh and operates in the -40 °C to +60 °C temperature range.

The YEMG298WBAM is a Wi-Fi 2-in-1 pole mount external antenna that operates in the 2400-2483MHz and 5150-5850MHz frequency ranges. YEMG298WBAM is a designed for robust wireless applications and is ideal for demanding point-to-point (PTP) and point-to-multipoint (PMP) communications, delivering substantial gain of 14 dBi at 2.4GHz and 17 dBi at 5.8GHz.

Built for durability and long-term operation, the YEMG298WBAM features a UV-protected ABS radome that operates in the -40 °C to +60 °C temperature range and is rated for wind velocity of 216kmh. With RoHS-compliant construction and power handling capability of up to 100W, the YEMG298WBAM is a reliable and powerful choice for critical infrastructure in industrial, enterprise and outdoor wireless systems.

The YEMJ294JPAM is a 5G 2-in-1 screw mount antenna that operates in the 617-5950MHz frequency range. Designed to provide low-profile, high performance indoor wireless coverage, the antenna supports LTE bands, 5G New Radio, GPS and Wi-Fi. The antenna delivers a consistent 360-degree horizontal beam width which ensures uniform signal distribution in offices, hotels, malls and other indoor locations.

Engineered for discreet and simple deployment, the Quectel YEMJ294JPAM has a diameter of 256mm and height of 18mm in a white ABS housing which enables it to blend in with ceiling tiles. Offering flexible connector options of N-type or 4.3-10 female, the YEMJ294JPAM is both RoHS and REACH compliant and operates in the -40 °C to +60 °C temperature range.
