Orbit Fab Announces Leadership Expansion and Series B Funding Round

Orbit Fab, the leading provider of in-space refueling infrastructure, announced significant leadership appointments and governance enhancements, securing of interim financing, and the opening of its Series B funding round as the company enters its next phase of commercial growth and execution.

Orbit Fab has appointed Peter Shaper as Chief Executive Officer. Shaper brings more than three decades of experience leading and scaling private equity-backed companies through periods of rapid growth, operational transformation, and market expansion. His leadership will guide Orbit Fab as the company transitions from foundational technology development to large-scale commercialization and operational execution.

In addition, Orbit Fab announced the appointment of Roger Teague to its Board of Directors. A retired U.S. Air Force major general and space industry executive, Teague led several of the nation’s most critical satellite programs through the predecessor organizations that ultimately became the U.S. Space Force. His extensive expertise in national security space systems and strategic program execution will help guide Orbit Fab’s continued growth and engagement across government and commercial markets.

Teague and Shaper join the Board with Don Rogers, the Founder and Managing Partner of Stride Capital Group, a global investment firm across public and private markets. Rogers brings deep expertise in capital markets and experience working closely with management teams to accelerate growth, attract institutional capital and build long-term enterprise value.

Orbit Fab has successfully secured more than $25M in interim financing led by Stride Capital, which strengthens the company’s balance sheet and provides additional resources to advance customer programs, operational capabilities, and commercial deployment activities. The company has now formally opened its Series B financing round to investors. The proceeds will support Orbit Fab’s continued market expansion, infrastructure deployment, customer acquisition efforts, and strategic investments in technology and operations.

This announcement also marks a significant milestone in Orbit Fab’s evolution from technology development to commercial execution. Having solved the hard technical challenges of refueling spacecraft in orbit, the company has established a leadership position in the emerging in-space refueling market. Orbit Fab’s refueling interface has been selected by the U.S. Space Force as a Standardized Enterprise Refueling Interface (SERB) and has achieved Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 8, signifying that the system has been qualified for spaceflight. The company has also secured more than $40 million across 24 U.S. government contracts to validate its technology and execute the first fuel deliveries in space. With its core technology proven, Orbit Fab is now focused on execution, commercialization, and scaling the infrastructure required to support the next generation of space operations.

Orbit Fab is uniquely positioned at the center of one of the most important infrastructure opportunities to defend our country and expand economic activity into an enormous new market,” said Don Rogers, Founder of Stride Capital Group. “I am thrilled to have Peter and Roger join me in leading the company’s next phase of growth. They add leadership, expertise, relationships, and vision to help Orbit Fab capitalize on this transformative market opportunity.”

Under Shaper’s leadership, Orbit Fab is focused on the final qualification and shipment this summer of the first fully integrated refueling architecture for launch in 2027. The company will focus on building world-class operating systems, launching infrastructure into space, and establishing partnerships to support its long-term growth plans.

“As the space economy expands, the need for logistics infrastructure becomes increasingly critical,” said Peter Shaper, Chief Executive Officer of Orbit Fab. “I’m excited to advance Orbit Fab’s leadership position into the vast commercial market ahead. The company has built cutting edge technology and established itself as a leader in a market with tremendous long-term potential. Our focus now is on execution, customer success, and scaling the business to meet growing demand.”

Roger Teague added, “Sustained maneuver is the foundation of deterrence in space. The ability to reposition, reconstitute, and respond at will is what gives the United States and our partners a decisive competitive advantage. Orbit Fab is delivering the refueling infrastructure that makes this possible, and I’m proud to join the Board as we accelerate this critical capability for the nation and the commercial space economy.”
