The LE50-28 Single Series units from Microchip Technology is a radiation-hardened DC-DC Converters that convert input voltages of 86-158 V to output voltages of 3.3-28 V. It deliver output power of up to 50 W and have an efficiency up to 85%. This isolated converters provide radiation-tolerant options with top-class total ionizing dose (TID) and single-event effects (SEE) performance for space and military applications. It features a forward converter topology and patented magnetic feedback that is optimizing the systems for applications where isolated DC voltage conversion is required. The converters are supported by a discrete surface-mount design that facilitates customization with reasonable lead time and modest NRE costs. It requires external filters to suppress undesirable interfering signals and achieve MIL-STD-461 EMI compliance. This DC-DC converters are available in surface-mount packages that measure 3.055 x 2.5 x 0.500 inches.
