The LabSat Real-Time from LabSat is a real-time GNSS RF signal simulator designed to deliver precise, live satellite signal generation for testing, development and validation of navigation and positioning systems. It accurately replicates real-world GNSS conditions using current time-stamped data, enabling users to simulate signals from any global location for highly realistic and dynamic testing environments. Built on a compact and portable hardware platform, the system operates in conjunction with SatGen simulation software to generate and stream live RF signals with less than one second latency.
It supports major global GNSS constellations including GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou, with both single and dual constellation configurations. Users can import predefined routes using NMEA or KML files or create custom trajectories through intuitive tools such as map-based route generation and user-defined motion commands. The simulator provides flexible configuration with adjustable carrier-to-noise (C/No) levels and dual RF channels with selectable center frequencies, enabling simulation of all visible satellites for a highly realistic RF environment.
Operating at a sampling frequency of 16.368 MHz, the LabSat Real-Time utilizes 1-bit or 2-bit I/Q quantization for efficient and accurate signal representation. It incorporates a high-stability 10 MHz OCXO reference oscillator, offering temperature stability of ±0.05 ppm and frequency stability of ±0.3 ppm over the first year. Supporting a 3.3 V active antenna supply and operating across a wide 8 V to 30 V DC input range, the system is well suited for both laboratory and field testing environments.
