Mag-13 MCDT Image

The Mag-13 MCDT from Bartington Instruments is a high-performance three-axis fluxgate magnetometer designed for precise magnetic field measurement and monitoring in demanding scientific, industrial and defense environments. Housed in a deep-submersible circular enclosure with a potted cable tail and connector, it provides robust and reliable operation in harsh operating conditions. This three-axis magnetic field sensor measures magnetic fields over a range of ±70 µT and maintains a frequency response within ±5%, enabling accurate detection of both static and dynamic magnetic field variations.

It also features a zero-field offset of less than ±30 nT, ensuring excellent measurement accuracy and long-term stability. The Mag-13 MCDT delivers exceptional sensitivity with a noise level below 10 pT RMS/√Hz at 1 Hz, making it well suited for applications requiring precise low-level magnetic field detection. The high-performance fluxgate sensing technology enables reliable measurements in environments where magnetic disturbances must be accurately characterized.

The magnetometer operates from a supply voltage range of 12–17 V and consumes between 35 and 41 mA, providing efficient operation for continuous monitoring applications. It is housed in a rugged cylindrical enclosure measuring Ø60 × 264 mm and has a mass of approximately 950 g, offering durability for field and underwater deployments. Reliable and highly sensitive, the Mag-13 MCDT is ideal for magnetic field monitoring, feedback sensing in active magnetic field cancellation systems, magnetic signature measurements, electromagnetic surveys and other scientific and industrial applications.
