Magnetorquer Jilin-1 Image

The Jilin-1 Magnetorquer from Chang Guang Satellite Technology is a spacecraft attitude control actuator designed to generate controlled magnetic moments for satellite stabilization and attitude management. Engineered for small satellite platforms, it provides reliable magnetic control for orbit maintenance, detumbling and attitude correction operations. This magnetorquer delivers measurement accuracy between 0.8% and 1% at ±1 Gauss and operates over a magnetic field range of –2 to +2 Gauss, enabling precise interaction with the Earth's magnetic field.

It also offers a high resolution of 70 μGauss, supporting accurate magnetic field sensing and control for spacecraft attitude determination systems. The unit operates from a 12 V power supply and supports responder and uploaded operating modes, providing flexibility for different spacecraft control architectures and mission profiles. These features enable dependable magnetic actuation and integration with onboard attitude control systems.

With a mass of approximately 0.4 kg (±0.03 kg), the Jilin-1 Magnetorquer provides a compact and lightweight solution for satellites where size, weight and power efficiency are critical design considerations. Compact and reliable, the Jilin-1 Magnetorquer is ideal for CubeSats, microsatellites, spacecraft attitude stabilization, detumbling operations and satellite attitude control applications requiring precise magnetic actuation.
