LYNX Transceiver Image

The LYNX Transceiver from NewSpace Systems is an S-band transceiver designed to provide reliable telemetry, tracking, telecommand, and communication (TT&C) capabilities for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite missions. Operating with uplink frequencies from 2025–2110 MHz and downlink frequencies from 2200–2290 MHz, it enables secure and efficient spacecraft communication. This transceiver supports user data rates ranging from 32 ksps to 2.048 Mbps, allowing flexible mission communication and data handling.

It incorporates LVDS and Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) data interfaces, along with RS-485 and CAN interfaces for control and telemetry functions, enabling seamless integration with spacecraft avionics systems. Designed for space environments, the LYNX transceiver incorporates components qualified to radiation levels up to 30 krad and is fully compliant with MIL-STD-461F electromagnetic compatibility requirements. These features ensure dependable operation in demanding orbital conditions.

The unit operates from a supply voltage range of 9–34 V and provides configurable RF output power between 0.5 W and 2 W. It is housed in a compact package measuring 150 × 100 × 30 mm and weighs approximately 350 g, making it suitable for small satellite platforms where size, weight, and power efficiency are critical. Compact and flight-ready, the LYNX transceiver is ideal for telemetry, tracking, telecommand and communication applications supporting LEO spacecraft, small satellite missions and advanced space communication networks.
