The OG2 from ORBCOMM is a Satellite Modem that delivers connectivity over the ORBCOMM VHF network. This modem requires an input voltage of 2.8-15 VDC and an input current of 3 µA to 1.6 A. It features a built-in 3-axis programmable accelerometer (OG2-GPS) and supports CAN, GPIO, USB, SPI and serial interfaces. The modem has a small footprint measuring 40 x 70 x 10.5 mm and comes with a Mini PCI Express 52-pin edge connector with a 0.8 mm pitch. The OG2 can easily be integrated into hardware solutions enabling asset tracking and monitoring applications within the marine, heavy equipment, and transportation markets.
