The OGi from ORBCOMM is a Satellite Modem that delivers connectivity over the Inmarsat L-band network. This modem requires an input voltage of 5-15 VDC and an input current of 70 µA (GPS) or 750 mA (transmit mode). It delivers real-time data transmission with a latency of 15 seconds or less for mission-critical applications requiring low latency. The OGi modem features an MQX v4 real-time operating system and supports CAN, GPIO, USB, SPI, and serial interfaces. It has a small footprint measuring 40 x 70 x 10.5 mm and comes with a Mini PCI Express 52-pin edge connector with a 0.8 mm pitch. The modem can easily be integrated into hardware solutions that enable asset tracking and monitoring applications within the marine, heavy equipment, and transportation markets.
