The Solid State Recorder (SSR) from NewSpace India Limited is a high-speed onboard data storage system designed for imaging payloads and large-volume data acquisition applications. Offering a storage capacity of 4 Tb, it supports sustained input data rates up to 1 Giga baud, enabling efficient handling of high-resolution sensor outputs. Built on NAND flash memory technology using ONFI-based storage architecture, the SSR provides real-time recording performance for demanding imaging missions.
It supports multiple high-speed input interfaces including SERDES, LVDS Serial, LVDS Parallel, RS-422 serial and RS-232 serial, ensuring flexible integration with diverse payload and avionics subsystems. The recorder operates across a wide voltage range of 5–72 V and consumes approximately 8 W of power, delivering energy-efficient performance for spaceborne and airborne platforms.
