The NGPS-03-422 from NewSpace Systems is a GNSS Receiver with an operating frequency of 1575.42 MHz at L1 band. This 12-channel L1 receiver has a position accuracy of less than 10 m and a velocity accuracy of less than 50 cm/s RMS. The receiver is targeted towards low-cost SmallSat constellations; it has been adapted for space altitude and velocity with custom software modifications. It employs latch-up detection/protection and a watchdog timer for increased reliability and robustness. It has a radiation tolerance of greater than 10 kRads and supports RS-422 or TTL UART data interface. It has a power consumption of 1 W and requires an input voltage of 5 V (DC). The receiver has a mass of 130 g and measures 96 x 91 x 18 mm. It is ideal for the accurate determination of the orbital position of the satellite, accurate knowledge of time, orbital maneuvers, and time and/or position stamping of payload data.
