The EFM8BB1 from Silicon Labs is an 8-bit C8051 core Microcontroller with a maximum operating frequency of 25 MHz. It is equipped with up to 8 KB of Flash memory and 512 B of RAM. It consists of two internal oscillators, 3-channel programmable counter array for PWM, clock generation and capture/compare, four 16-bit timers, two analog comparators and a 12-bit ADC with integrated multiplexer, voltage reference and temperature sensor. This microcontroller supports multiple communication interfaces including SMBus/I²C, SPI and UART along with a 16-bit CRC unit and a pre-loaded UART bootloader. It requires a supply of 2.2-3.6 V and is ideal for motor control, consumer electronics, sensor controllers, medical equipment, lighting systems and I/O port expanders.
