The Terma Power Special Check-Out Equipment (Power SCOE) is a state-of-the-art solution for powering, testing, and monitoring your satellite’s power subsystem during the critical phases of assembly, integration, testing (AIT), and even pre-launch operations on the launch pad. Built on Terma’s proven commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and developed with mission-independent components, Power SCOE guarantees robust and flexible performance across a wide range of space applications.

Serving as a solar array simulator, battery simulator, launch power supply, and pyro and payload load simulator, for pyrotechnic and payload operations, the Power SCOE ensures that your satellite’s electrical system is fully validated and mission-ready—helping prevent power anomalies and extend operational life in orbit.

It also features synchronized event data recording across all measurement channels, enabling rapid analysis and debugging of any unexpected behavior during testing or launch preparation.

Enhanced Satellite Safety with ProUST Protection

At the core of Terma’s power testing solution is ProUST, a power satellite testing equipment, offers an additional protection level (SLP) that acts as an independent safeguard for satellite power systems. In case of a system anomaly or failure, ProUST responds with a protection reaction time of 15 µs, preventing damage from potential single-point failures and enhancing overall system reliability.

Key Features of Terma Power SCOE:

· Fully Digital Power Supply: Achieve high-efficiency and precision control with Terma’s digitally controlled power supply architecture, which significantly reduces hardware footprint and energy consumption.

· Adaptable Power Solution: Power SCOE is built to evolve with your needs. With integrated cybersecurity protocols and self-calibration capabilities, the system stays up-to-date with minimal maintenance or hardware changes—saving time and long-term costs.

· Customizable and Reusable Platform: Customize your test bench with only the components you need. Choose from Solar Array Simulator, Battery Simulator, Battery Conditioning Equipment, PCDU Simulator, Load Simulator, Pyro Line Simulator, Umbilical Simulator, Launch Equipment, or FLAT SAT—giving you maximum flexibility and cost efficiency.

· Advanced Cybersecurity: Designed with cybersecurity in mind, Power SCOE aligns with international standards like ISO/IEC 27000 and NIST 800-171, featuring built-in security layers and software updates to protect critical test infrastructure.

· Built-in Second Level of Protection: The Power SCOE includes a second-level Protection Unit for Satellite Testing (ProUST) that acts as an autonomous failsafe with a 15 µs reaction time, securing your satellite’s power systems against unexpected anomalies during critical testing operations.

Heritage:

Terma Power SCOE has a proven track record, supporting space missions including OneWeb, JUICE, BepiColombo, CO2M, HERA, Galileo, and SpaceRider.
